Description
Tandoori Roti (Plain) is a traditional Indian flatbread made from whole wheat flour. It is cooked in a tandoor (clay oven) which gives it a slightly smoky flavor and a soft, chewy texture. The dough for the roti is rolled out into a round shape and then slapped onto the sides of the hot tandoor, where it puffs up and cooks quickly. It is typically served plain, without any toppings, although sometimes it is brushed with ghee (clarified butter) for added richness. Tandoori Roti is a perfect accompaniment to a variety of Indian curries, dals, and kebabs.
